Rest in Peace
Rapper Keith "Guru" Elam, best known as the former frontman of the group Gang Starr, died after a long bout with cancer on April 19, leaving behind a letter to his fans and prompting an outpouring of love on the web.
I remember meeting him when i used to work in J.F.K Airport back in 1994 he had a broken forearm but looked very healthy and swaggarific with two oriental girl`s on each arm sitting on the bus headed for their terminal to fly out. Growing up in he definitely was one of my favorite rappers i had all his tapes and listened to new the new releases hit the radio. Guru was a street wise poet and had a way with words without using profanity to get his message across, his lyrics would be heard in every house hold when i was growing up in the 90`s. here`s a look at one of my favorite Gang star videos "Ex Girl to the Next Girl"
